Start Before You're Ready! Believing You Can Conquer The World

If you're anything like me, you've got a ton of ideas that you can't wait to share with the world. We're talking passions that literally keep you up at night. There's nothing more frustrating than knowing what you want and having an idea of your success trajectory, but waiting for the "right" moment to make shit happen. Well giddy up girls, there is no right moment. You're here and present NOW. You have gifts to share with the world TODAY. So hop on board chick-a-booms, let's go!

A love letter to my closest friends who have all the potential in the world and continue to inspire me everyday. I love you!

Preparation

Now I'm not so naive to believe that you can just throw together a project and make it successful. There is so much important groundwork to lay when building the foundation for your business/project, here are just a few:

- Brainstorm Sessions. Consult with friends, family members, even social media polls can help clear your blind spots and assure you that you're going in the correct direction. Now you don't have to consult with everyone and their momma, follow your heart and consider others' input, but don't rely on it solely.

- Market Analysis. Who are the big time players in your industry? Who is your ideal client/consumer/community member and what do they want to see? Get started.

- What do you know? What don't you know? Plan accordingly for growth and build a team around your weaknesses.

- What do you want? How do you want your days to be structured? Try not to overwhelm yourself by jumping in and right away doing the MOST. If starting before you're ready, take it slow - trial and error is your best friend.

Believe In Your Mission

You've got a plan girl, what you're conjuring up in that mind is going to work.. but not if you don't. Try not to be afraid of failing, instead lean into the challenges - if you succeed consider it a win, if you fail, consider it a lesson.

Don't Be Afraid To Ask For Help

10 times out of 10, your friends (your real friends) will be absolutely honoured to help you achieve your goals. Think about their strengths, schedules, and opportunities for commitment (one offs, weekly, monthly etc). Also, just ask. Ask them if they can help, and in what capacity. If you feel guilty, try having them over for a work session - provide snacks, jokes, and a chill vibe.

Let People Know What You're Up To

It can be hard to let people in at the beginning, before your entity is a... well.. an ENTITY. You may feel a little embarrassed and uncomfortable, but you gotta get vulnerable baby.

Keep Pushing

There are going to be times when you feel like "it's not happening fast enough" (this is totally me) or your efforts aren't showing up in the form of growth/movement (again.. me) - I assure you, keep pushing and it will happen. It's never too late to incorporate new practices - you're in the right book, maybe just the wrong page. Evaluate consistently, and switch it up accordingly.

Peace out!
