Morning Management: Getting The Most From Your Morning Routine

Starting your morning off on the right note is so helpful, especially during this social distancing and time of isolation. It’s important to note that what works for one person might not work for others. That’s why we encourage you to consistently audit your morning routine and always look for areas of improvement. Here’s a helpful list of activities you can incorporate because variety is the spice of a lifetime, right?

Set An Alarm

It’s so easy to get carried away, lost in the sauce with all of this newfound "freedom", but don’t let yourself slip girl. Try not to deviate more than an hour from your usual wake time, this will help when we actually integrate back into the world.

Careful Consumption

Take note of what you consume first thing in the morning; how does it make you feel? Try swapping your morning social media check with a light playlist or reading a chapter of your favourite book. Same with food, put somethin' good in your belly, huh?

Do Something For Yourself

You know you best. What’s going to give you that serge of energy you need? What’s going to help you set the vibe that you want to bask in for the rest of the day? This can be a workout session, meditation, a morning stretch, a cup of tea in complete silence, listening to a podcast, or taking a steamy shower. The world is your oyster, sweetie pie, make it what you wish.

Get Some Fresh Air

Step outside, take a few deep breaths, get clear and enjoy the sunshine (hopefully).

Consult Your To Do List

Before jumping into your day, review what needs to be done and make changes to your list as needed. Careful not to bite off more than you can chew, and remember, as Flourgon said back in ‘88, “we run things, things nuh run we.”

This is all great advice! I need to work on keeping the same wake up time that I had before 😩
